Youth Ministries

Youth Groups

Middle School youth group meets 6:00-7:30 at the Church bi-monthly on Friday. Meetings on 5/8 and 5/29 to end the school year!

High School Youth Group meetings are 5:00-6:30 on Sunday. Remaining meetings 5/10 and 5/17!

Palo Alto High School youth have 2 more Howie's Pizza meetings, Wednesday 4/29 & 5/20 during their lunch hour.

SSP 2026

This Summer our SSP Service trip will be in Crescent City from June 28th - July 4th 

Youth entering 6th grade through recent high school graduates are invited to join us. Serve with SSP to form close bonds with fellow youth, talk about poverty, immigration, environmental concerns, and provide service to those who are in need.

Please reach out to Sam Putney with your questions. Confirm with me if your youth will be attending and pay through the payment portal below.This year's fee is $1,200 which includes all expenses, meals, lodging, & transportation.

A Typical Day at SSP: 
7:00 AM          Wake up and get ready. The day may start earlier depending on the site and weather. 
7:30 AM           Spiritual awakening (optional) to get centered for the day 
8:00 AM          Breakfast 
8:30 AM           Community service opportunities (cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, etc.)
9:00 AM          Arrive at work site, begin service work
Noon                Lunch and spiritual sandwiches (group discussion) at work site 
1:00 PM           Resume service work
3-4:00 PM      Return to site, clean and store tools, shower. Free time at accommodations.There will be optional guided games and 
                          
activities for youth.       
5:00 PM          Staff/counselor meeting – adults meet with staff to discuss joys, concerns, and plans for the next 24 hours. 
5:45 PM          Dinner 
6:30 PM          Community service opportunities (cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, etc.).
7:00 PM          Song time and evening program: Team building activities, work team site reports, spiritual programming,
                         handing out 
mail, learning from community partners. 
8:30 PM          Free time. Volunteers prepare for bed.
9:00 PM         Optional evening devotional led by a work team. 
9:45 PM          Lights out. Earlier bedtimes are allowed if folks are tired. We have separate sleeping areas by gender, and honor the                                       identities of transgender and gender nonconforming volunteers.
