Native Organizers Alliance Action Fund: Urgent action requested on this posting of February 11, 2025. Tell Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum: Don’t Break Treaties and Violate Sovereign Rights. Changes to Monument Status and Protection of Sacred Lands Must Include Tribal Consultation.

Joint Letter in Support of Juristac Resolution  was submitted to the Palo Alto City Council meeting  on Monday, December 2, 2024.   It was signed by FCCPA (Petition with 93 signatures) along with  Green Foothills, Amah Mutsun  Land Trust,  SCVBA,  Sierra Club, Green Belt Alliance,  Friends of Juristac,  California Native Plant Society,  and  SURJ (Showing up for Racial Justice) of Santa Clara.
Note from Maria Daehler: Thanks for the great turn out on signatures to support protecting Juristac from being turned into a gravel pit mine.  The Palo Alto City Council voted unanimously to pass a resolution requesting Santa Clara County to block this proposed project.  Several church members attended the council meeting, turned in 93 signatures from FCCPA and met with Chairman Lopez.  With tears in his eyes, the leader of the Amah Mutsun tribe shared a circle prayer, his deep gratitude for the upwelling of support, this healing moment and the future opportunity of tribal members to again pray regularly on their most sacred sight.
