Music is an integral part of worship at First Congregational Church. We have choral groups for all ages meeting weekly, year-round (with the exception of July and August). Our choral programs are listed below, or for more information please contact Joe Guthrie.

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir works on virtual choir projects and some outdoor/masked singing in small groups. Classes are offered in vocal Technique and sight singing. The Chancel Choir sings every Sunday for our 10:00 a.m. worship service. Rehearsal is on Thursday evenings from 7:00- 8:15 p.m. Contact Jenny for more information. |
Congregational Concert Chorale
Under the direction of Jenny Matteucci, the Congregational Concert Chorale is a community based choral group that performs three concerts per year as featured on the Congregational Concert Series page. The group sings a wide variety or repertoire, with a concentration on large scaled works, many of which are accompanied by an orchestra. The Chorale is open to new members, but by nature the program requires a continuing weekly commitment.

The women’s ensemble meets Wed from 6:15-7 via zoom. Currently working on virtual choir projects, this small ensemble sings SSA arrangements.

Cherub Choir
The Cherub Choir is for young singers K-2 and meets each Sunday at 11:15 in the BackYard during worship.
Custom recorded CDs and song sheets are provided as a learning tool.

Children's Choir
The Children's Choir is open to youth in grades 3 - 5 and meets weekly at 11:10 a.m in Room 8 in the Backyard, under the direction of Andrea Ward and Joe Guthrie. This group sings in worship once a month, and has a role in our spring musical. For more information, contact Andrea. |

The Youth Choir is open to youth in grades 6 - 12. They rehearse weekly at 11:40 a.m in Room 8, led by Andrea Ward and Joe Guthrie. The Youth Choir sings in worship monthly and participates in the spring musical.

Each spring FCCPA presents a musical based on a spiritual theme. Past presentations include the popular musicals "Godspell", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Joseph and the Amazing Dreamcoat", and several original musicals -- with an original take on our biblical heritage.
