What is the seating capacity of the Sanctuary? We can comfortably seat 300 guests in the Sanctuary. We can accommodate up to 350 guests with the addition of banquet chairs set up in the garden wing of the Sanctuary.
How many pews are in the Sanctuary? There are 20 pews on each side of the center aisle.
What are the dimensions of the altar table? The altar is 93 inches wide and 32 inches deep. Please allow the front 12 inches (depth) to be left for the Unity Candle if you are using one in your ceremony.
What are the general guidelines for decorating the Sanctuary? Using standard pew hooks (supplied by florists or found at craft stores), decorations can be placed on the arms of the pews (flowers, fabric, bows). Pew arms fit standard plastic pew hooks. Gaffer’s tape and existing fasteners may be used for decorations. No other adhesives, nails, tacks, staples, or pins may be used. To reduce slipping hazards, birdseed, rice, loose flower petals, and confetti are not to be used indoors. Loose flower petals are permitted outside the Sanctuary. Liturgical banners and seasonal decorations are to remain installed during ceremonies. You may request the Wedding Liturgical banner.
Does the Church have HVAC? The Sanctuary does not have air conditioning, but there is heating.
Is there a dressing room for the bride? Yes there is a dressing room for the bride with a make up mirror, couch for attendants, and an onsite bathroom. There is a separate waiting area for the groom and groomsmen which is located in the Embarcadero Library.
What is the parking situation for guests? FCCPA has two parking lots; both with ADA accessible parking spaces. The Louis Road parking lot has 87 spaces and 5 accessible spaces. The smaller Embarcadero Road parking lot has 44 spaces, 2 accessible spaces, and a ChargePoint car charging station. Additional parking can be found on nearby residential streets; however, there is no parking permitted on the east side of Louis Road
Are there regulations regarding smoking? Smoking is not permitted anywhere on Church property; this includes parking lots, sidewalks, and walkways.
May we serve alcohol? No alcohol is to be served before the ceremony. Communion is allowed during the ceremony and a toast is permitted after the ceremony. Receptions are permitted to serve beer, wine, and champagne, but no hard alcohol is allowed.
How do we obtain a marriage license? Go to the county clerk office and request an application for a marriage license. You can find additional information on the Santa Clara County Clerk Office Website.
