Our Music
Music is a strong unifying force in our community. We are proud of our long tradition and commitment of providing great music that can be enjoyed by everyone. The instalation of our new Letourneau pipe organ and the reconfiguration of our sanctuary has created a magnificent space for musical performances. You can enjoy a wide variety of music by different groups sponsored by the church.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is a diverse mixture of professional and amateur singers with a wide background of experience and training. The choir sings during worship services from September through June, and rehearses on Thursdays from 7:15pm - 8:15pm, and at 9:15am on Sundays before the service.
Congregational Oratorio Society
The Congregational Oratorio Society is a community based choral group that performs three concerts per year on the Congregational Concert Series (download a brochure here). The group sings a wide variety of repertoire, with a concentration on large scaled works, many of which are accompanied by an orchestra. The group rehearses on Thursdays 8:30pm - 10:00pm. The Oratorio Society is open to new members, but by nature the program requires a continuing weekly commitment.
Youth Choir
Our Youth choir sings in worship at different times throughout the year under the direction of Joe Guthrie, including Christmas Eve. They also participate in our Christmas Pageant and our Spring Musicals.

Children’s Choir
Our children’s choir meets in the fall under the direction of Christy Crews and Joe Guthrie. They sing in worship several times each year, and they also participate in our Christmas Pageant and Spring Musicals.

Intergenerational Choir
The Intergenerational Choir is a group that loves to sing and attracts singers of all ages. The music is fun, and we keep rehearsals to a minimum, utlizing cd's to facilitate rehearsing at home (or in the car!)

Spring Musicals
Each year, we put on a production of a musical in our Social Hall in the spring. Auditions are held in January or February, and everyone who auditions gets a part. Our musicals always feature our children and youth, and every other year we let adults get in on the act, with intergenerational casts of seventy-five people from age 5 to 75.
Past performances have included well known shows like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as original musicals by Joe Guthrie, Kristin Howell, and David Howell: Average Joe: The Story of Jonah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John, and 39 Books: The Hebrew Ziptures.
